when creating solutions, we celebrate the clear and simple as our tools of choice
interview & Assessment Centre
A major homebuilder wanted to discover how potential recruits would respond under pressure, so we developed a series of simulations to test their mettle. Interviewees had a complicated brief, based on real case studies, and were faced with actor-facilitators playing colleagues and suppliers. The challenges were great, the days were long and only the most able survived.
training film – crisis management
A multi-national brewery was running crisis management training for managers of breweries throughout Asia. It was essential that the delegates got to interact with realistic situations. As Pan-Asian travel was cost-prohibitive, we designed a training programme filmed on location in England and sent off a stunning DVDs to the Far East.
corporate social responsibility
Greed is Good? Not any longer. As CSR became an increasingly important issue, companies needed creative ways to communicate the issues. We were increasingly called upon to dramatise situations for client events across various industries. To quote an attendee, ‘Freedthinking managed to hit just the right note. Your improvisational skills allowed some very serious issues to be addressed in a fun and innovative way’.
One of the biggest challenges facing lawyers is the continual pressure for business development. They need to be able to cross-sell, knowing what else is going on within the business and speak about it with confidence and clarity. We launched a programme using a mixture of Forum Theatre and facilitated discussions to help delegates maximise their interpersonal skills and improve sales techniques.
foster carers, social workers & professional care staff
Care Agencies are under pressure to provide innovative training to communicate both regulations and best practice. How do you take this beyond the traditional powerpoint? We were called by local councils, private and public agencies to create scenarios based around care patients, and got the carers involved by testing their newly-learned skills through interactive roleplay simulations.
legal breakthroughs – the lawyer’s client lunch
A leading law firm was staging a client reception and wanted to offer something with a twist. They were teaching their guests about some incoming legislation and commissioned us to create some interactive drama around the issues. The first lunchtime law seminar proved a hit, and were invited back for more.
real estate training
There’s a lot more to commercial real estate than selling office blocks. We worked with new employees at a large corporation across fourteen departments to provide coaching, mentoring, customer service training, presentation skills and conference support. A graduate’s first few years at a top 10 property firm will set the tone for their entire career and our role was to facilitate their success.
